Markham RMT For Lower Back Pain

What is Registered Massage Therapy for lower back pain?

RMT for lower back pain is a treatment that helps to reduce pain, stiffness, and muscle spasms in the lower part of the spine.

What can I expect from a Registered Massage Therapist?

On your first visit, you’ll be asked to fill out a short questionnaire about your pain and the history of your back issues. You may also be asked to do some gentle stretches or even have a massage to help your muscles relax. After this, your massage therapist will discuss treatment options and create a plan for your recommended RMT services

In subsequent visits, you can expect a more in-depth treatment to address the root cause of your lower back pain. This could include stretching, foam rolling, or other techniques to help you release muscle and joint tension. Additionally, your RMT may recommend exercises that can help alleviate back pain.

Types of treatment under Registered Massage Therapy for lower back pain include:

  • Trigger point therapy
  • Heat therapy
  • Soft tissue mobilization
  • Dry needling technique
  • Myofascial release
