What can I expect from a Registered Massage Therapist?

The first visit will begin with a discussion about your history with your current posture issues and what led to them. Your massage therapist will also look at how you sit, stand, and walk—and how that affects your overall health.

In subsequent visits, your therapist will work with you on your posture to help you improve your position and make sure that the muscles you’re using are balanced. Four your RMT plan they may also provide tips for stretching or strengthening specific muscles and encourage you to practice good posture habits at home.

Most extended health benefit plans include coverage for Registered Massage Therapy. However, please verify your coverage details, including if a doctor’s referral is required, with your insurance provider as every plan is unique. Registered Massage Therapy may also be covered by your automobile insurance if you have been injured in an automobile accident.

Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) treatments range from $75 to $160 plus HST. Pricing for a session is based on the type of treatment required, the length of treatment, and the location of treatment (i.e. at our clinic, via telehealth, or if in home care is required). Yes, we provide rehabilitation and massage therapy treatments to patients covered through Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Insurance. You can expect exceptional treatment whether you're covered by a MVA insurance claim, have access to extended health insurance coverage, or if you are paying out of pocket.

No, we do not provide coverage for RMT treatments through the WSIB.

Massage Therapy sessions can be 30, 45, 60, 75 or 90 minutes in length depending on your needs.

For your initial RMT session, please don't forget to bring your extended health insurance coverage information.

Please bring comfortable but athletic attire (i.e. t-shirt or tank top, shorts and running shoes) to every session.
