Physiotherapy

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy specializes in rehabilitation of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions and injuries through an in-depth assessment and individualized treatments.

What can I expect?

On your first appointment, we will conduct an in-depth assessment of your presenting condition, provide treatment and create a tailored treatment plan for your subsequent sessions.

Subsequent sessions will build on the initial assessment with a combination of hands-on treatment, guided progressive exercises, passive modalities (electrotherapy, acupuncture, taping, etc.) and education. These are used to help manage pain, maximize range of motion and strength, and optimize performance and function.

Types of treatment your Physiotherapy session can include:

  • Manual Therapy
  • Soft Tissue Release
  • Acupuncture
  • Functional Dry Needling
  • Cupping
  • Taping
  • Therapeutic ultrasound
  • TENS/IFC
  • Thermotherapy & Cryotherapy

Is Physiotherapy covered by insurance?

Most extended health benefit plans include coverage for Physiotherapy. However, please verify your coverage details, including if a doctor’s referral is required, with your insurance provider as every plan is unique. Physiotherapy services may also be covered by your automobile insurance if you have been injured in an automobile accident.

We also accept patients covered through Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) insurance and the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB).

We offer direct billing with most insurance companies.
