Registered Massage Therapy

What is Massage Therapy?

Massage therapy specializes in hands-on manipulation of the soft tissue around the body to help reduce muscle tension, relax the mind, decrease pain, promote recovery and improve function.

What can I expect?

On your first appointment, your Massage Therapist will conduct an assessment and work with you to determine the area of focus for your treatment.

Hands-on manipulation of the soft tissue over the area of concern will be performed to support your rehabilitation.

Types of techniques your Massage Therapy session can include:

  • Swedish massage techniques
  • Sports massage
  • Deep tissue massage
  • Rhythmic mobilization
  • Trigger point therapy and joint play
  • Facial techniques
  • Stretching and resistance exercise techniques

RMTs can relieve pain for those experiencing lower back pain, issues from motor vehicle accidents, poor posture, sports injuries and more.
